Spring Festival holiday schedule of re-PSF plants

On concern about the severe situation of the coronavirus pandemic recently in China, part of recycled plants plans to suspend operation for Spring Festival holiday earlier this year. We have collated 30 recycled polyester staple fiber plants about their plan.

1. Product inventory in plants is at a historical low, and plants intend to do some inventory and have holidays late. Some plants even provide preferential benefits, such as subsidy for Spring Festival holiday in local, on concern about the labors after the holiday. Currently, many local government suggests workers to have holidays in working areas, and encourage companies to subsidize employees. For example, in Dongguan of Guangdong Province, workers that will stay in local to have holidays will have about 1,000yuan subsidy.　However, some workers still tend to return to their hometowns for the Spring Festival holiday.

2.Plants that have many local workers plan to start holiday late (mostly in early Feb) and restart production early (around Feb 19), and some even keep running for one production line.　

3. Affected by force majeure, some plants in Hebei are closed 20 days in advance. The holiday time of plants that use steam depends on the thermal power plant. The production cost of plants that use natural gas has increased, and some plants reflect that the increment is about 150-200yuan/mt. In North China, the energy consumption increases sharply after the weather is cold, and some plants reflect that the consumption of fuel gas has risen by 70% compared with summer time.

4. The price of feedstock has been rising recently, and PET flake supply is limited. The plants mainly consumes preliminary inventory. Currently, some plants reflect the feedstock inventory is limited. 4. In Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Sichuan and Jiaxing of Zhejiang, local workers account for the most, and in Zhejiang, the migrant workers are mainly from Jiangxi, Henan and Anhui. 5. With the severe situation of pandemic, the conditions for returning home may tighten later. For example, low-risk areas are required to provide certificates for a negative nucleic acid test result. Pay attention to the policies.
