The United States has made a final ruling on safeguard measures for imported fine denier polyester staple fiber, deciding to implement a four-year safeguard measure in the form of quantity restrictions for the products in question. The specifics are as follows:

From November 23, 2024, to November 22, 2025: 0 kilograms

From November 23, 2025, to November 22, 2026: 453,592 kilograms

From November 23, 2026, to November 22, 2027: 907,185 kilograms

From November 23, 2027, to November 22, 2028: 1,360,777 kilograms

The products involved are fine denier polyester staple fibers, uncarded or combed, with a diameter of less than 3.3 denier, regardless of whether they are coated. This case involves products under U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers 5503.20.0025 and 9813.00.0520.

On February 28, 2024, the U.S. International Trade Commission initiated a safeguard investigation on imported fine denier polyester staple fiber.
