The products involved are fine denier polyester staple fibers, uncarded or combed, with a diameter of less than 3.3 denier, regardless of whether they are coated. This case involves products under U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers 5503.20.0025 and 9813.00.0520.
On February 28, 2024, the U.S. International Trade Commission initiated a safeguard investigation on imported fine denier polyester staple fiber.
