China's PSF exports in Jan-Feb, 2025

According to the China Customs, uncombed or uncarded PSF exports of China reached 133.4kt in Jan 2025, up 37.2% year on year, and were 99kt in Feb 2025, up 41.7% year on year. Imports were 7,878 tons in Jan and 5,822 tons in Feb.

In Jan-Feb, 2025, the exports amounted to 232kt, an increase of 38.8% from 2023, to be the highest during 2020-2025. Imports totaled 13.7kt during the period, down 23.9% year on year.

In terms of the top 10 export destinations in Jan-Feb 2025, Vietnam maintained the largest export markets, with a volume of 43,194 tons, up about 30% from the same period of 2024, with a proportion of 18.6%. Pakistan ranked the second place, with a volume of 33,721 tons, up 89% year on year, and its proportion reached 14.5%. Exports to Russia saw the largest decline, down by 26.9% year on year. The exports to the United States saw a yearly decline of 25.9%. Exports to Uzbekistan, Poland and Brazil had a three-digit growth.

In 2025, export volumes are expected to maintain growth as overseas markets have high dependence on China's PSF and China's PSF has price advantage. However, due to limited new capacity, the growth rate of exports may be restrained.
