By the week ending Jun 23, 94% of cotton crops have been planted, up 4% from Jun 9, 1% from a year ago, and down 2% from five-year average. 30% of the crops is squaring, up 8% from previous week, up 5% from a year ago, 2% from five-year average, according to USDA. 8% of crops is setting bolls.
Crop condition is 5 percent very poor, 9 percent poor, 30 percent fair, 51 percent good and 5 percent excellent.
