By the week ending May 26, 59% of cotton crops have been planted, up 15% from May 19, 3% from a year ago, and 2% from five-year average. 4% of the crops is squaring, up 1% from a year ago, down 1% from five-year average, according to USDA.
Crop condition is 1 percent very poor, 4 percent poor, 35 percent fair, 52 percent good and 8 percent excellent.
