Cambodia's garments, footwear, and tourism products exports grow by 17% in Jan-Apr
In the first four months of 2024, Cambodia's garments, footwear, and tourism products exports grew by 17%. The Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia recently released a report stating that during this period, the export value of garments, footwear, and tourism products (GFT) reached $3.76 billion, marking a 17% year-on-year increase.
According to the report, garment and textile sales totaled $2.75 billion, up 20.4% year-on-year. Footwear accounted for $450 million, with a 3.8% increase, while tourism goods reached $560 million, showing a 14% increase.
The garment, footwear, and tourism product industry is Cambodia's largest foreign exchange earner, providing employment for approximately 918,000 workers, most of whom are women, across about 1,680 factories and branches, according to data from the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.
