ICE cotton futures market was sharply higher, promoted by the expectations of lower planting areas. But whether the actual condition can meet the expectation needs to see USDA's report on Friday. Contract of Jul closed at 80.06cent/lb, up 2.56cent/lb and contract of Dec closed at 77.70cent/lb, up 1.95cent/lb.
Cotlook A Index rose by 0.55cent/lb to 85.40cent/lb.
