Jiangsu Weiming New Materials invests 10.8 billion yuan to build nylon 6, 66 project

Recently, Jiangsu Weiming New Materials Co., Ltd. conducted the second public announcement of the environmental impact assessment information for its project with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of nylon 6, and 60,000 tons of nylon 66, 10,000 tons of nylon 666, and supporting facilities.

Project Overview

On November 18, 2023, Jiangsu Weiming New Materials Co., Ltd. signed a contract to invest 10.8 billion yuan in a nylon new materials industry project in Rudong, Jiangsu.

Project Name: Jiangsu Weiming New Materials Co., Ltd. project with an annual production capacity of 200kta nylon 6, 60kta nylon 66 and 10kta nylon 666

Construction Address: Lingang Industrial Park, Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, Rudong, Jiangsu

Project Description: The project is divided into two phases. After completion, it will have a production capacity of 340,000 tons/year of caprolactam, 360,000 tons/year of 35% hydrogen peroxide, 320,000 tons/year of cyclohexanone, 25,000 Nm³/h of natural gas hydrogen production, 30,000 tons/year of hexanediamine, 200,000 tons/year of nylon 6, 60,000 tons/year of nylon 66, 10,000 tons/year of nylon 666, and 0.4 million tons/year of para-tert-butylphenol.

Of these, 200,000 tons/year of nylon 6, 60,000 tons/year of nylon 66, 10,000 tons/year of nylon 666, and 0.4 million tons/year of para-tert-butylphenol are for external sales, while the rest are for self-supporting purposes.

Jiangsu Weiming New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in May 2013 and is a subsidiary invested by Taiwan China Petrochemical Corporation and Hong Kong Union Chemicals Limited.
