Henan Kaixiang will expand one 100kt/year PBT project

Recently, Henan Energy Coal Gasification Company Kaixiang Chemical and China Machinery Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CMEC") has signed the engineering procurement construction general contracting contract on the 100kt/year of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) project, planning to build a PBT production device with the largest capacity in China.

According to the contract, Henan Energy Coal Gasification Company and CMEC will integrate funds, technology, talents, etc., relying on the existing production equipment of Kaixiang Chemical, and cooperates to expand a set of 100kt/year PBT device, which will cover approximately 380 million Yuan of investment and aim to create a PBT production base with mature application of domestic technology and the biggest capacity in China. The project is expected to be put into production before the end of 2022, and the annual output value will exceed 1.34 billion yuan, with a total profit exceeding 160 million Yuan.
