Cotton crop condition in United States (by Aug 15, 2021)

By the week ending Aug 15, about 93% U.S. cotton crops have been squaring, up 5% from last week, down 6% from a year ago, and down 6% from five-year average, according to USDA. About 75% of the crops is setting bolls, up 12% from previous week, down 4% from a year ago, and down 7% from five-year average. 10% of the crops is bolls opening.

Crop condition is 1 percent very poor, 4 percent poor, 28 percent fair, 50 percent good and 17 percent excellent.
