Huashen New Materials start up new HMDA plant

On June 12, 2024, Huashen New Materials (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., a joint venture of Shenma Group and Wanhua Chemical Group, has started up its 180kt/year HMDA plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

Huashen New Materials' HMDA project started construction in July 2022. It is a chemical project that provides stable supply of HDI raw materials for Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. and raw materials for Pingmei Shenma Nylon. During the construction process, the two parties guided by the goal of "creating an internationally leading hexanediamine facility," fully leveraged their respective technological and industrial advantages, explored more than 20 technical optimization projects, continuously improved the intrinsic safety and automation levels of the facility, and facilitated the rapid implementation of the project.
