By the week ending Jun 2, 70% of cotton crops have been planted, up 11% from May 26, 2% from a year ago, and flat from five-year average. 9% of the crops is squaring, up 5% from previous week, up 4% from a year ago, 1% from five-year average, according to USDA.

Crop condition is 3 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 31 percent fair, 54 percent good and 7 percent excellent.
