JIRECELL™ Rayon Launch of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group
On March 7th, Jilin Chemical Fiber Group successfully held a press conference for the launch of its JIRECELL? Rayon products at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Hall 8.2. The new material selected by JIRECELL? is made from 30% recycled pulp from waste textiles and 70% FSC-certified wood pulp. By changing the original process route, adopting new technology, and using green energy, the clean production meets higher standards.
In 2019, Jilin Chemical Fiber partnered with EKMAN to introduce the recycled pulp Circulose®. Subsequently, the first generation of environmentally-friendly viscose filament yarn, JIRECELL?, was created. The content of waste cotton products in JIRECELL? has gradually increased from the initial 5% to 30%. Currently, three varieties, namely bright 120D, dull 120D, and bright 75D, meet industry standards. Regarding the future development of JIRECELL? rayon products, Jilin Chemical Fiber will strive to achieve 100% production of regenerated viscose fibers from Circulose®pulp, increasing the content of waste textiles in regenerated viscose fibers to 100%. This will drive the expansion of the circular economy industry chain, contribute to global green and sustainable development, and promote the development of the global circular fashion industry.
