In 2023, VSF experienced a rare period of stability, with high operating rate, obvious narrowing of price and inventory fluctuations as well as improving profits. VFY capacity increased again, and lyocell market continued to expand in scale, with simultaneous growth in product categories and downstream applications. Competition remained fierce in the spunlace non-woven fabric field. Niche products such as modal, bamboo fiber, and environmentally-friendly VSF performed well. Overall, despite pressure and difficulties, the cellulose fiber industry demonstrated resilience and strength.
