Wuhai Guangjin's BDO project large piece hoisting work successfully concluded
On November 28, 2023, the fourth acetylene torch of the Wuhai Guangjin BDO project BYD unit, weighing 36 tons, was successfully hoisted and installed by the Inner Mongolia Branch of the 11th China Chemical Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. So far, 39 large-scale equipment with a total weight of 3108 tons were safely hoisted in place, laying a solid foundation for the project to complete the construction task on schedule.
It was reported that the first large-scale equipment of the project, the heaviest single equipment, the BYD reactor, weighs about 200t, with an installation height of 17.3m, a height of 13.3m and a diameter of 7.6m. On September 28, the 500t crawler main crane and 200t crawler crane were successfully installed, and the fourth acetylene torch was successfully hoisted into place on November 28. It marked the successful conclusion of the 2-month large lifting work of the Wuhai Guangjin BDO project.
The project is located in the low-carbon industrial park of Wuhai Economic Development Zone, Hainan District, Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia, and is a key construction project in Hainan District of Wuhai City. The project plans to invest 5.777 billion yuan, of which the 11th China Chemical Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. Inner Mongolia Branch is responsible for the construction of 3 sets of BDO devices and the installation of equipment, pipelines, electrical meters and steel structures in the BDO tundish area.
