Ningxia Guanneng's BDO, PBT/PBAT project construction steadily moves forward

Ningxia Guaneng New material Technology Co., Ltd.'s NMP, PBT/PBAT, PTEMG and other polymer materials, biodegradable materials project settled in Pingluo County Hongyazi Industrial Park in April 2022. The project uses calcium carbide, gray hydrogen and green hydrogen as basic raw materials to extend the production of new polymer materials such as BDO-PBT-NMP- spandex.

The project is divided into three phases with a total investment of 14.68 billion yuan.

At present, the first phase of 272000 tons of BDO and 100000 tons of PBT with a total investment of 3.56 billion is under construction and is expected to be completed and put into production in October this year.

The construction of the third phase of the project is expected to be completed in October 2025. The project uses advanced technology and equipment in the industry. after the completion of the project, it is estimated that 500000 tons of key raw materials for new energy and materials will be produced annually, and 120000 tons of degradable plastics, 100000 tons of electrolytes and 300000 tons of spandex will be produced. It is estimated that when all the projects are completed, the annual output value will be 23.8 billion yuan, profits and taxes will be 5.3 billion yuan, and more than 2000 local jobs will be provided.

Up to now, the project has completed 80% design, 50% installation foundation construction, all site formation and soil foundation tamping treatment and some supporting buildings, with a total investment of 780 million yuan. You Zhaoyun, chairman of the company, said: "Ningxia Guaneng New Materials Project is jointly funded and built by Ningxia Lingyun Group and Guangdong Guaneng New Materials. After the project is completed and put into production, it will become the main support for Pingluo County to build a 100 billion-level new material industry base, and play an exemplary and leading role in the cross-border, transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in the autonomous region."
