Tacheng's first major textile project under construction

It is learned from the regional commerce bureau that the Taicheng's first and largest textile project in terms of investment and production scale is currently underway. The phase I project attracts a total investment of 6.954 billion yuan and aims to produce 5 billion meters of textile products annually.

Hairong (Xinjiang) Textile Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Sep 2024 and is located in the industrial incubation park of the Halagande Industrial Park in Shawan City. The phase I project involves an investment of 6.954 billion yuan to build a demonstration base for textile industry transfer with an annual capacity of 5 billion meters. This base will cover an area of 570,000 square meters, renovating 350,000 square meters of existing standard factory buildings in the Shawan Textile Industrial Park, and constructing an additional 2,000 square meters of new buildings.

At the same time, there are plans to purchase 60,000 sets of weaving equipment, including high-speed air-jet looms, high-speed water-jet looms, twisting machines, texturing machines, and supporting auxiliary equipment.

Ye Xiangjiang, deputy secretary of the party group and director of the Shawan City Bureau of Commerce and Industry Information Technology, introduced that nearly 400 looms have been purchased so far, and one standard factory building of 40,000 square meters and two standard factory buildings of 18,000 square meters have been completed.

Currently, construction on the fire protection, lighting, heating, and electrical systems in the production workshop is in full swing, with the goal of achieving partial production by Apr 2025.

It is understood that the project is divided into two phases, with phase I already under construction. The ultimate goal is to create a demonstration base for a production line with an annual output of 10 billion meters of textile products. Upon full completion and production, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 35 billion yuan, generate about 1.8 billion yuan in taxes, and provide employment for 5,000 people (times).
