Pakistan's textile exports reduce 28% in February of this fiscal year
Pakistan's leading textile institutions recently reported that Pakistan's textile exports fell 28% to $1.2 billion in February of this fiscal year, compared with $1.67 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The country's textile exports declined 11% to $11.24 billion in the first eight months of the fiscal year, down from $12.6 billion in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal year, according to provisional data released by the All-Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA). The country's textile companies hope that the government will persuade the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to continue to provide RCET to exporters, especially the textile sector, which is essential for Pakistani products to be competitive in the international market.
