Spunlace nonwovens exports to major destinations in Nov show divergences
According to customs data, the export of spunlace nonwovens decreased by 1% year on year and 10% month on month to 32.671kt in Nov 2024. The export price rose by 1% year on year and 3% month on month to $2,290/mt.
In Nov, the export volume of spunlace nonwovens to the five major destinations (South Korea, US, Japan, Vietnam, and Brazil) reached 18.378kt, a year-on-year decrease of 3%, taking up 56% of the total, which was a higher percentage in 2024. The export to South Korea and US generally declined in Nov, while that to Japan, Vietnam and Brazil increased.
The export from the main origins for spunlace nonwovens (Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Fujian) slipped by 1% year on year to 27.303kt, taking up 84% of the total, a flat share compared to the previous month. The exports of major origins in Nov generally declined on monthly basis, except for an increase in Fujian with smaller absolute volume.
China's spunlace nonwovens export volume in Nov declined on both monthly and yearly basis to a relatively lower level of 2024. The export to the major five destinations saw great divergences, with a decline in South Korea and US but an increase in Japan, Vietnam and Brazil. The export from major origins almost declined, except for better performance of Fujian. The overall export market was lack of highlights in Nov.
