1.53mln spindles textile and apparel industry project under steady progress in Yarkant, Xinjiang

Recently, the 1.53 million spindles textile and apparel industry project in Yarkant County, Xinjiang, invested by Zhongheng Group, is under steady development. The project starts to be constructed in mid-Feb, and may be complete this year.

Yarkant textile and apparel industrial park project plans to have a scale of 1.53 million spindles, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan and a total construction area of about 680,000 square meters. The first phase has been finished construction, with 500,000 spindles and investment of 500 million yuan, and the second phase is planned to have 1.03 million spindles, with an investment of 1 billion yuan. Currently, the construction of the second phase of the project is progressing in an orderly manner and is expected to be fully completed and put into operation by the end of this year.

After the project is complete, the yearly cotton consumption is 240,000 tons. It will not only improve the infrastructure conditions of all kinds of industrial factories in Yarkant County, effectively absorb local employment, but also promote the cotton planting industry in the surrounding counties and cities.
