Huafon Chemical's Qianxi recycled spandex completes LCA life cycle assessment and obtains Intertek Green Leaf Certificate.

Recently, Huafon Chemical Co., Ltd. completed the carbon footprint certification of Qianxi®recycled spandex products according to the life cycle assessment (LCA) method. The results show that Qianxi®recycled spandex has excellent environmental benefits.

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a technology and method used to assess the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle from the acquisition of raw materials, the production of the product to the disposal after use.

It has been proved that for every 1 kg of Qianxi®recycled spandex, compared with Qianxi®conventional spandex, greenhouse gas emissions from cradle to door are reduced by 72%, non-living resource consumption potential is reduced by 67%, and water consumption is decreased by as much as 95%. It will provide end-user brands and consumers with green and environmentally friendly spandex raw materials.

About the raw materials of Qianxi®recycled spandex: the waste spandex comes from the production process, and the content of recycled materials is up to 100%. It is very suitable to be used with other natural fibers or synthetic fibers and applied in high-end underwear, yoga clothing, swimwear, etc. Under the premise of maintaining excellent elasticity and quality, it will promote the sustainable fashion of the end-user brand.
