South Korea launches anti-dumping investigation on China-made polyester POY

South Korea Trade Commission issued notice No. 2023-3 on February 24, 2023, initiating an anti-dumping investigation on Polyester Filament Partially Oriented Yarn, POY) originating in China and Malaysia on the application submitted by South Korea Chemical Fiber Association on December 27, 2022. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 (12 months), and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022 (5 years). The Korean tax code of the product involved is 5402.46.9000. Chinese companies involved in the case include Xinfengming Group Huzhou Zhongshi Technolgy Co., Ltd. and its affiliated enterprises, Zhejiang Hengyi Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. and its affiliated enterprises, Tongkun Group Co. Ltd. and its related enterprises. In addition to a further extension of 2 months, the preliminary adjudication of the case will be made within 3 months.

The interested parties shall register the response within 3 weeks from the date of filing the case.
