Huizhou Boke to start up maleic anhydride/BDO/PTMEG plants

On February 17, the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau reviewed the energy saving report of the Light Hydrocarbon Comprehensive Utilization Project (Phase I) of Huizhou Boke Environmental Protection New Materials Co., Ltd. According to the requirements of the policy, the energy conservation report of the project is agreed in principle.

The main construction content of the project includes:  a 240kt/year maleic anhydride plant, a maleic anhydride hydrogenation plant (130kt/year BDO+190kt/year DMS), and a 60kt/year PBS plant , and a 46kt/year PTMEG plant. The project is designed to produce 147,600 tons of dimethyl succinate (DMS), 34,200 tons of 1,4-butanediol (BDO), 46,000 tons of polytetrahydrofuran (PTMEG), and 60,000 tons of polybutylene succinate (PBS).

Project energy consumption and main energy efficiency indicators: After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual comprehensive energy consumption shall not exceed 525,303 tons of standard coal (equivalent value, of which raw material energy consumption is 355,585 tons of standard coal), and the annual power consumption shall not exceed 292.29million KWH, the consumption of mixed butane is not higher than 260,800 tons, and the consumption of methanol is not higher than 174,700 tons. The energy consumption per unit product of the maleic anhydride plant of the project is not higher than 1033.4 kg standard coal/ton, the energy consumption per unit product of the maleic anhydride hydrogenation device is not higher than 699.9 kg standard coal/ton. The energy consumption per unit product of the PBS device is not higher than 269 kg standard coal/ton, and the energy consumption per unit product of the PTMEG device is not higher than 727.6 kg standard coal/ton.
