Japan's textile and apparel exports decline month-on-month in Nov
The latest data show that textile and apparel imports of Japan amounted to 237kt in November, down 3.1% year-on-year and 10.5% month-on-month. The volume from China was 128kt, down 10.7% year-on-year and 14.7% month-on-month.
From January to November, Japan's textile and apparel imports totaled 2.508 million tons, up 3.7% year-on-year, but down 0.4% from the same period in 2019.
In terms of import value, Japan’s imports of textile and apparel in November amounted to 423.9 billion yen, of which the imports of apparel reached 299.2 billion yen, growing by 21.7% and 21% respectively.
The share of those from China accounted for 54.2%, which fluctuated slightly.
