PE plant operating rate plummets on intensive shutdown

On Jun 20, PE plant operating rate declines sharply compares with last Friday, which plummets to around 75% from 82%, as plants shut intensively on this weekend. On the whole, the intensive shutdown of PE plants involves many factors, such as Sinopec Shanghai PC affected by sudden fire, ZRCC, Shanghai Golden Philips and Sinopec Yanshan PC with ethylene cracking plant problems, and the grade transition of Shandong shouguang LuQing petrochemical and so on.

A total of 2.26 million tons of PE plants have been shut. Among them, Sinopec Qilu PC, Shandong shouguang LuQing petrochemical and PetroChina Dushanzi PC are expected to restart in the near future, and the restart of the rest plants is to be determined.

The above-mentioned plants totaled 3.685 million tons, of which, PetroChina Jilin PC plans to restart this week and PetroChina Lanzhou PC are expected to restart in the near future, and the restart of the most plants is to be determined.
