Rayon yarn export of China hits new highs in Apr 2022

China totally exports 25.275kt of rayon yarn in Apr 2022, up 146.76% y-o-y, including 19.603kt of single yarn and 1.773kt of ply yarn, respectively up 254.82% and 88.83% on yearly basis. Thus, the export of pure spun yarn occupies 85% of total rayon yarn exports. At the same time, the export of rayon blended yarn is 3.898kt, up 3.17% y-o-y. In Apr, the export of rayon yarn hits new highs compared with the same period of past years.

Rayon single yarn exported to five destinations (Brazil, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Vietnam) in Apr amounts to 18.547kt, up 324% y-o-y, accounting for 95% of total single yarn exports. The growth in Apr is mainly contributed by the substantial increase of export to India that surges to 13.183kt, overtaking 10kt for the first time this year, up 7.262kt from Mar. However, there has been no improvement of exports to Brazil as of Apr.

Rayon single yarn exported from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Xinjiang and Sichuan totals 19.23kt in Apr, up 268% y-o-y, taking up 98% of total single yarn exports. The increment is mainly contributed by Fujian and Zhejiang whose export volume is respectively 5.37kt and 5.363kt. The export from Jiangsu and Xinjiang is largely stable and that from Sichuan also witnesses substantial increase on both monthly and yearly basis, though the base number is still small.

To sum up, rayon yarn export of China hits new highs in Apr. The export of single yarn to India witnesses bigger increase and Zhejiang and Fujian as the major origins in China benefit more.
