Rayon yarn export to Bangladesh in Nov hit new highs since Apr

According to customs data, rayon yarn export of China decreased by 10% month on month and 14% year on year to 7.545kt in Nov. Among them, the export of single yarn was 6.322kt, with a year-on-year decline of 4% but month-on-month growth of 13%, and that of ply yarn was 1.223kt, with a year-on-year growth of 5% and a month-on-month increase of 9%. In Jan-Nov, the exports decreased by 30% year on year to 86.72kt.

In Nov, the export of rayon yarn to the five major countries (Brazil, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, and Vietnam) was 6.105kt, with a year-on-year increase of 19% but month-on-month decrease of 10%, taking up 81% of the total. The export to Bangladesh saw relatively better growth in the past four months, and the volume in Nov even hit new highs since Apr.

The main origins of rayon yarn in Nov were Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Xinjiang, and Sichuan, with an export volume of 6.945kt, a year-on-year increase of 19% but month-on-month decrease of 9%, occupying 92% of the total. Among the five major origins, the export from Zhejiang was impressive in Nov, with the volume much higher than that of Aug-Oct.

The export volume of rayon yarn in Nov grew obviously, and Nov was one of the two months within the year witnessing a year-on-year growth, but there was still a decline on monthly basis, and the absolute volume was not large. The export to Bangladesh performed better in Nov, but the volume was still much lower compared to Brazil. The export from Zhejiang in Nov saw good growth on both monthly and yearly basis, but the overall performance was not pronounced.
