China's retail sales of textiles and garments increase in Oct, 2024

China's retail sales value of consumer goods totaled 4.5396 trillion Yuan in Oct 2024, up 4.8% year on year. In Jan-Oct 2024, the cumulative retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 39.896 trillion Yuan, up 3.5% year on year.

In Oct 2024, the retail value of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size was 134.65 billion yuan, up 8.0% year on year. In Jan-Oct, the cumulative retail sales of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size totaled 1157.08 billion yuan, up 1.1% year-on-year.

In Oct 2024, the retail value of apparel goods above designated size was 99.19 billion yuan, up 7.2% year-on-year. From January to October, the cumulative retail value of apparel was 837.73 billion yuan, up by 0.6% year-on-year.
