On October 10th, Chinese sports giant Anta Group announced its latest operating performance for the third quarter of 2024. The announcement disclosed data related to the group's core brands Anta, FILA, and other brands (including DESCENTE and KOLON SPORT), but did not include the business of Amer Sports (the parent company of brands like Arc'teryx, Salomon, and Wilson).

In the third quarter of 2024, the retail value of Anta brand products (calculated based on retail value) recorded a mid-single-digit positive growth compared to the same period in 2023.

In the third quarter of 2024, the retail value of FILA brand products (calculated based on retail value) recorded a low-single-digit negative growth compared to the same period in 2023.

In the third quarter of 2024, the retail value of all other brand products (excluding new brands joining the group after January 1, 2023) recorded a positive growth of 45-50% compared to the same period in 2023.

In the first half of this year, Anta Sports achieved revenue of 33.735 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 13.8%, and net profit of 7.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 62.6%. Excluding the impact of the profit shared from the joint venture and the dilution of rights due to the listing of Amer Sports, Anta Group achieved a net profit attributable to the parent company of 6.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 17.0%.

Among them, Anta brand achieved revenue of 16.077 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 13.5%, FILA brand achieved revenue of 13.056 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 6.8%, and all other brands achieved revenue of 4.602 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 41.8%.

Regarding the performance growth in the first half of the year, Anta stated in the financial report that it was mainly due to 1. The continuous favorable policies in China to stimulate domestic demand; 2. The Paris Summer Olympics helped to stimulate public enthusiasm and participation in sports; 3. The growth of e-commerce business.

As of June 30, 2024, the total number of group stores has exceeded 12,000, with the total number of Anta, Anta Kids, and FILA stores increasing from 7,053, 2,778, and 1,972 in the same period last year to 7,073, 2,831, and 1,981 this year, respectively.
