China's retail sales of textiles and garments decrease in Jul, 2024

China's retail sales value of consumer goods totaled 3.7757 trillion Yuan in Jul 2024, up 2.7% year on year. In Jan-Jul 2024, the cumulative retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 27.3726 trillion Yuan, up 3.5% year on year.

In Jul 2024, the retail value of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size was 93.57 billion yuan, down 5.2% year on year. In Jan-Jul, the cumulative retail sales of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size totaled 803.32 billion yuan, up 0.5% year-on-year.

In Jul 2024, the retail value of apparel goods above designated size was 66.01 billion yuan, down 5.6% year-on-year. From January to July, the cumulative retail value of apparel was 581.88 billion yuan, up by 0.1% year-on-year.
