By the week ending Jun 9, 80% of cotton crops have been planted, up 10% from Jun 2, 2% from a year ago, and flat from five-year average. 14% of the crops is squaring, up 5% from previous week, up 4% from a year ago, 2% from five-year average, according to USDA.
Crop condition is 2 percent very poor, 6 percent poor, 36 percent fair, 49 percent good and 7 percent excellent.
