China coal, crude oil and natural gas production and imports in Oct
Raw coal production growth accelerates and imports growth remains fast. According to National Bureau of Statistics, in October, coal production reached 390 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%, with the growth rate 3.4 percentage points higher than that of September, and a daily output of 12.54 million tons. Coal imports amounted to 35.99 million tons in October, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%, with the growth rate down 4.5 percentage points compared to September.
From January to October 2023, coal production reached 3.83 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%. Coal imports amounted to 380 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 66.8%.
Crude oil production growth edges up slightly and imports keep fast growth. In October, crude oil production reached 17.33 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, with the growth rate 0.2 percentage points higher than that of September, and a daily output of 559,000 tons. Crude oil imports amounted to 48.97 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%, with the growth rate 0.2 percentage points lower than that of September.
From January to October 2023, crude oil production reached 174.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. Crude oil imports amounted to 473.22 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%.
Crude oil processing growth rate remains steady. In October, crude oil processing volume reached 63.93 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, with the growth rate 2.9 percentage points lower than that of September, and a daily processing volume of 2.062 million tons. From January to October, crude oil processing volume reached 618.76 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%.
Natural gas production growth keeps stable and imports growth accelerates. In October, natural gas production reached 19.0 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, with the growth rate 6.7 percentage points lower than that of September, and a daily output of 610 million cubic meters. Natural gas imports amounted to 8.79 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%, with the growth rate 15.1 percentage points higher than that of September.
From January to October 2023, natural gas production reached 189.6 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. Natural gas imports amounted to 96.51 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%, according to National Bureau of Statistics.
