Blue Ridge Tunhe's Phase III BDO and Phase II PTMEG projects achieve mechanical completion successfully

On September 8, 2023, the third phase 104kt/year BDO project and the second phase of 46kt/year PTMEG project and the 10th anniversary celebration of Xinjiang Blue Ridge Tunhe Energy Co., Ltd. was held in Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang.

Xinjiang Blue Ridge Tunhe's Phase III project with 104kt/year of BDO capacity is located in Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang. In response to the national western development strategy and the strategy of transforming superior resources in the autonomous region, the project closely revolves around the spirit of the Central Xinjiang Work Symposium and the outline of Xinjiang's 14th five-year Plan and 2035 long-term goals, and closely relies on Xinjiang's resource advantages, location advantages and overall industrial chain advantages. It makes use of the rich local coal and limestone resources to carry out industrial chain supporting projects for PBT and PBS products.

It was understood that the project officially started construction on April 1, 2022 and was successfully handed over on September 8, 2023. During this period, various difficulties such as repeated epidemic situation, lagging field equipment and materials, high temperature in summer and severe cold in winter were experienced. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the staff worked overtime and made every effort to complete various construction tasks on the site. It took 17 months to complete the final delivery.

The mechanical completion of the project indicated that another high-quality and high-level BDO and PTMEG factory will be put into production smoothly.
