Rayon yarn export of Fujian and Sichuan posts a significant growth in Jul
According to customs data, rayon yarn export of China reached 14.238kt in Jul 2023, with a month-on-month increase of 3% and a year-on-year increase of 30%. Among them, the export of single yarn was 12.705kt, with a year-on-year increase of 41% and a month-on-month stability. The export of ply yarn was 1.533kt, with a year-on-year decrease of 20% but a month-on-month increase of 47%. The export volume in Jun and Jul reversed the previous decline. However, the total export volume from Jan to Jul still decreased by 31% compared to the same period last year.
In Jul 2023, the export of rayon single yarn to the five major countries (Brazil, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, and Vietnam) was 11.32kt, with a year-on-year increase of 45%, accounting for 89% of the total export volume of single yarn. Brazil and India both performed well in Jul.
The main destinations of rayon single yarn in Jul 2023 were Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Xinjiang, and Sichuan, with an export volume of 11.055kt, a year-on-year increase of 27%, accounting for 87% of the total export volume of single yarn. The export of Fujian and Sichuan in Jul showed significant growth compared to the same period last year, with an increase of 458% and 162% respectively.
After the decline in rayon yarn export from Jan to May, there was a marked recovery in Jun and Jul, mainly driven by the increased export to India and the sustained good performance of Brazil. Fujian and Sichuan saw significant year-on-year growth in Jul.
