Japan's textile and apparel imports increase gently in April
The latest data show that in April, Japan imported 200kt of textiles and apparel, up 1.7% year-on-year, but down 13.7% month-on-month. Among them, 108kt came from China, up 10.5 percent year-on-year, but down 14.3 percent month-on-month.
In terms of import value, the import value of Japan reached 338.68 billion yen in April, among which that of clothing was 240.25 billion yen, up by 11% and 13.5% respectively.
In April, Japan imported 108kt of Chinese textile and apparel, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, and accounting for 53.7% of its total imports, which was relatively stable.
