200kt/year of BDO/PBAT and 60kt/year PTMEG project from Xinxiangyun settled in Hubei

On Jun 9, 2023, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Huanggang City accepted the environmental impact assessment report of the Xinxiangyun Coal-based New Materials Project and publicly announced the acceptance. The public consultation period for the environmental impact assessment report is 10 working days (June 9 to Jun 25).

Total investment: 10.12647 billion yuan, of which environmental protection investment is 537.52 million yuan

Construction content and scale: The project is divided into two phases of construction. Phase 1 comprises a 100kt/year BDO unit and a 40kt/year synthetic ammonia (intermediate product) unit. Phase 2 comprises a 100kt/year BDO unit, a 60kt/year DMC unit, a 60kt/year PTMEG unit, a 100kt/year DMF unit, a 200kt/year hydrogen peroxide unit, a 200kt/year PBAT unit, and a 400kt/year saturated primary alcohol (intermediate product) unit.

On May 18, China's Wuhuan Engineering and Xiangyun Group jointly invested in the construction of the "CNCEC Xinxingyun New Materials Industry Park Project" in the construction site in Wuxue, Huanggang, and held a groundbreaking ceremony.

According to the introduction, the total investment of the "CNCEC Xinxiangyun New Materials Industry Park Project" is approximately 25.5 billion yuan, covering an area of approximately 4,350 mu, and will be built in two phases. The project is divided into three major sectors based on the type of product: the phosphate chemical sector, the fluoride chemical sector, and the coal chemical sector.
