Inner Mongolia Huaheng Energy's BDO-PTMEG-PBAT integration project to have trial production

Inner Mongolia Huaheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s PTMEG, PBAT new material industry chain integration project has been basically completed, and various preparations for trial production are being carried out.

The total investment of the project is 10.5 billion yuan. The construction contents include 3 × 104kt/year BDO plant, 4 × 46kt/year PTMEG (polytetrahydrofuran) plant, 60kt/year PBAT (polyadipic acid / butylene terephthalate) plant, 28000 standard cubic meter/hour natural gas hydrogen production plant, 3 × 240kt/year formaldehyde plant, etc. The complete industrial chain of "coal/limestone-BDO-degradable plastics /spandex" will be realized after it completes construction, which will play an important role in promoting the construction of coal-based biodegradable materials industry base in Wuhai.

"At present, four PTMEG units and 3 BDO plants are being debugged, 220kV substations have started to supply power, the mechanical and electrical equipment of the central control building has been entered, and the integration project has been basically completed." Yu Zhongbo, deputy general manager of Inner Mongolia Huaheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd., said.
