Brazil makes final decision on anti-dumping sunset review of Chinese-made fiber knitted fabrics
On February 17, 2023, the Executive Committee of the Foreign Trade Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Brazil (GECEX) issued Resolution 449 of 2023, which made the second sunset review final judgment on man-made fiber knitted fabrics (Portuguese: malhas de viscose) originating in China, and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese products for a period of 5 years, with a duty of US$3.65/kg. The products involved are circular woven fabrics, composed of man-made yarns or filaments, mainly viscose, whether or not containing elastic filaments (commercially called Leica), with a width of more than 30 cm, unbleached, dyed, printed or yarns of various colors, regardless of weight. The tax codes of the products involved are 6004.10.41, 6004.10.42, 6004.10.43, 6004.10.44, 6004.90.40, 6006.41.00, 6006.42.00, 6006.43.00 and 6006.44.00. The resolution shall enter into force as of the date of promulgation.
