Hainan Tianyin's biodegradable project accelerates to ensure Hainan's plastic ban

On March 14, Hainan Tianyin Technology Development Co., Ltd.'s all-biodegradable new materials project has entered the stage of safety condition review. The project is mainly to construct a 240kta commercial butane hydrogenation unit, a 180kta n-butane to maleic anhydride plant, a 80kta BDO plant (including a 12kta DMS unit), a 120kta PBS unit, a 20000 standard hydrogen production unit, etc.

Hainan Province is to completely forbid the production and sale of disposable non-degradable plastic products. The office of its work leading group issued the key points of plastic ban in Hainan Province in 2023, which closely linked to the key links such as the control of input sources, comprehensive supervision, the control of plastic pollution in key areas, and the development of substitute industry, and formulated 35 major tasks and measures to further strengthen the control of the whole chain of plastic pollution.

The acceleration of the project can enhance the production capacity of biodegradable plastic products in Hainan and ensure the demand for plastic ban in Hainan.
