Mexico makes final anti-dumping determination on polyester filament yarn imported from China and India
Mexico's Anti-dumping Investigation Agency (UPCI) issued a notice in the official Gazette on September 29th, 2021, making a final anti-dumping determination on polyester filaments imported from China and India (Spanish: Politicséfilamento textil texturizado). The final ruling applied the principle of "low levy" when determining anti-dumping measures, and decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of US $0.532 per kilogram on all enterprises imported from China and India. The figure is based on the harmless price of Mexico's domestic industry and is lower than the dumping margin calculated by UPCI for all responding companies.
In view of the adverse impact of COVID-19's pandemic on Mexico's textile industry, the investigating authorities decided to delay the implementation of anti-dumping measures for one year and impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved from September 29th, 2022. The announcement shall take effect from the day after it is issued. The TIGIE tax number of the product involved is 5402.33.01.
