BASF declares force majeure for entire polyamide 6.6 range

BASF has declared force majeure on ADN, HMD, AH-Salt and Ultramid A and AC polymer base products on April 2021.

The FM declaration is because its key ADN supplier’s announcement that they would not be able to supply BASF enough ADN volume expected. Production linked with ADN is thus restricted until the problem is solved.

The ADN producer Butachimie (Chalampé / France), half of which belongs to the BASF Group, confirmed a technical problem, due to which the plant, which has been enlarged since the renovation, had to be shut down on April 12, 2021.
