Sinopec Yangzi's old PTA plant dismantled

The first set of 300,000 tons/year PTA unit of Yangzi Petrochemical in Nanjing officially entered the dismantling stage.

The unit was put into production in September 1989 and stopped production in 2013 due to the constraints and influence of domestic PTA overcapacity, backward technology and high energy consumption. After the unit is dismantled, the original site will be used as a reserve land for the park's "14th Five-Year Plan" construction.
