Shanghai Star-Island Knitting Co., Ltd. was founded in 1993. With more than 2,100 employees, our corporation owns 6 factories and over 2,600 flat-knitting machines and cut-and-sew machines, including Shima Seiki computerized knitting machine imported from Japan. Each year, Star-Island produces about 3 million pieces of knitwear and sweaters alike, most of which are exported to Japan, Europe & the USA, and has an annual turnover of 35 million USD. Star-Island places customers first and produces high-quality garments. Our subsidiary factories have passed the audits by Disney, Adidas, Taylormade, Eddie Bauer, and Oshkosh. Moreover, as a company committed to human rights of workers, our facilities are certified according to SA8000 Social Accountability International Standard.
