A special anionic compound, PAM can be used in the dyeing and finishing bath for various fibers as an excellent in-bath softener to prevent creasing and scratching. When used in degumming bath, it leaves residue on the fiber. However, there is no adverse effects to dyeing and other processes. On the contrary, the softening effect can last to the end of processing.
