Softness through and through. Like no other fiber, Lenzing Modal® has stood for softness next to the skin for more than 40 years. In regular usage, Lenzing Modal® does not suffer from the harshness that comes from repeated use that is often found with cotton. After regular washing, cotton becomes harder to the touch whilst Lenzing Modal® becomes even softer the more it is used. So Lenzing Modal® is ideal for all kinds of terry fabrics. Every towel of Modal® makes the bathroom a little bit softer.

FASTEST ABSORPTION

Lenzing Modal® is a great partner for cotton and helps to enhance water absorbency in Lenzing Modal®/cotton blends.
Lenzing Modal® is highly absorbent and quickly soaks up water so that it still feels dry even when holding a considerable amount of moisture. Faster absorption and wicking both help to ensure that Lenzing Modal® towels dry efficiently because the towel is more evenly wetted over a larger surface area.

ETERNAL BEAUTY
Lenzing Modal® keeps colors radiant for longer than other fibers. Even after 25 washes Lenzing Modal® colors remain bright and strong. Greying that is often found with 100% cotton terry does not occur with Lenzing Modal®. Even in blends with cotton, the Lenzing Modal® will help to maintain the best possible color brightness.
For example, the photographs below demonstrate this quite clearly. After 10 washes the 100% cotton towel has already faded but the colors in the Lenzing Modal®/cotton blend towel still remain strong.

BEECH WOOD THE RAW MATERIAL FOR LENZING MODAL®

The secret of Lenzing Modal® success. Cellulose is extracted from indigenous wood for the production of Lenzing Modal® at the Lenzing plant. Tight control of the entire production process - from the initial wood to the final fiber - guarantees that Lenzing Modal® fiber is of the highest quality.
Lenzing in-house pulp production uses a special grade of beech wood that is sourced locally. The standard of the raw material used is critical to Lenzing Modal® fiber properties and this is one of the features that make Lenzing Modal® so unique and unmistakable.

100 % FROM NATURE

Lenzing Modal® is extracted from beech wood and is 100% natural. The pulp and fiber production are conducted in accordance with the principle of sustainability. Beech wood is converted into Lenzing Modal® by using state of the art production methods that are environmentally responsible and which ensure that Lenzing Modal® still retains all of its naturalness in the final end product. Chemicals and secondary products which occur during the production process are sold as valuable substances. One example of this is wood sugar which is further processed into sweeteners.
