water swellable yarn

WZS is manufactured from water swellable fibers. It absorbs water quickly, expanding greatly, high tensile strength. Besides WZS is neutral so it never has any adverse effect to cables materials. In the manufacture of optical cable it could take place of filling compoud, water blocking type or common yarns, no doubt it is a good new choise of optical cable production.

WZS could be used not only in cable heart but also could be wind between primary and secondary shaft guard as filling yarns. For its good water blocking and sealing performance, if water permeate through the cracks of cable, the yarns will absorb water and expending quickly to block all the cracks, so it could stop waters permeating before more severe premeating. WZS has different types according to the length of per kilogram. That will make cable more lightly and more dependable.
