UHMWPE- the high-performance raw material from which our products are made. Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), also known as high modulus polyethylene (HMPE) or high performance polyethylene (HPPE), is a thermoplastic made from oil. It has extremely long chains, with molecular weight numbering in the millions, usually between 3.1 and 5.67 million. The high molecular weight results a very good packing of the chains into the crystal structure. This results in a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made. It is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals,It has extremely low moisture absorption, very low coefficient of friction, is self lubricating and is highly resistant to abrasion.

UHMWPE has found application in the fields of military,aerospace,oceanic industries and sports equipment,especially to protective gear in army and police. However, Its own limitations of easy creep under stess, poor heat resistance and relatively short life span have to some extent restricted its application in fields requiring higher-performances.
