3D Spacer Fabric and Sandwich Construction
3D spacer fabric construction is a newly developed concept. The fabric surfaces connected with each other stronglly vertical pile fibers which are interwoven with surfaces, and the weaving technique has its own intellectual property rights. Therefore, 3D spacer fabric can provide good skin-core debonding resistance, excellent durability and superior integrity. In addition, the interstitial space of the construction can be filled up with foam to provide synergistic support with vertical piles, and be a new sanwich construction composites.These products have broad application in automobile, locomotive, building, marine, aerspace, shipbuilding, energy and other industries.
Structure characteristics: 3D spacer fabric consists of two bi-directional woven fabric surfaces, which are mechanically connected with vertical woven piles. And two S-shaped piles combine to form a pillar, 8-sharped in warp direction and 1-sharped in weft direction.
Applied fiber: glass fiber, carbon fiber, basalt fiber and also synthetic fabric.
Standard specifications: the range of piller height is 3-50mm, the range of width≤1270mm.
The design of structure parameters including areal desity, height and distribution density of the pillars are all flexible.
