Founded in 1954, Brugman Holland has become one of the worlds leading manufacturers of continuous pre-treatment and dyeing machinery for woven fabrics. Through the years Brugman introduced various innovative developments to the market. To this end Brugman has a close co-operation with Dutch universities, the Dutch Institute for applied physics, top grade chemical suppliers but above all with her customer base. The combination steamer, the foam filled cloth-guiding rollers, the Brubo-matic bearing and sealing construction, the "UNIPAD" squeezing bowl system and the Bleach-O-Matic are some examples of innovations, which have proven to stand the test of time.

In the early nineties, Brugman introduced its range for continuous machines for scouring and weight-reduction of 100% polyester. Especially in Asia this has made Brugman also a leading supplier in this field. Brugman innovations are always based on proven technologies as well as the day-to-day practical situations in a textile mill. Durability, ease of maintenance and simple operation are the key words that characterize the Brugman production program.

Brugman at present

Since 2002 Brugman Holland is a member of the Vanwyk Group of companies in the Netherlands. With state-of-the-art production facilities in China, R&D center in the Netherlands and sales & service centers in Wuxi, Hong Kong and Oldenzaal, the Brugman program is being presented on a worldwide scale. All machines are based on the well-known Brubo-Matic design. As there are more than 500 large Brugman ranges in operation world-wide, a highly efficient service system is available to our customers. For our Chinese customers, highly trained engineers are always on stand-by in Wuxi, while spare parts in Wuxi are in stock for immediate delivery.

Brugman machine designs are aimed at China. The philosophy behind all Brugman engineering activities fits perfectly to the requirement of Chinese textile products. This philosophy consists of 4 mian elements, being that a machine has to be practical, flexible, reliable and economical. Hereby we give a brief explanation.

practical because the machine is extremely simple to operate and to maintain anywhere in the world, requiring little maintenance and being easy to clean.

Flexible because the unique combination of the Brugman low friction, self-aligning bearings, large diameter foam filled rollers and single threading at all times makes it possible to run any kind of woven fabrics crease free at low and stable fabric tensions.

Reliable because the design and the materials used result in a machine that is always available year after year even in the most demanding and difficult production situations. Economical as the design is minimizing costs in the 2 area's where the real costs are. First of all the machine uses minimal amounts of water and energy. Functions like heat exchanger between waste water and fresh water are standard supply. Secondly the feedback from users all over the world has learned as that the Brugman machine is by far the lowest in its kind for both the number of spare parts in stock required as well as the consumption of parts.

All Brugman machines are currently equipped with the latest version of the Brugman Vision 2008 integrated automation and control system for drive system and process control.
