The first IRENE leather football was born in 1998. This is the first step on a continuous research, development and manufacture of leather balls.

In 20th century, natural cow leather was gradually substituted by synthetic materials for some insuperable traditional defects. With the confidence in the traditional natural material -cow leather which has been used for thousands of years, Angoo Tanning Company Limited (the parent company of IRENE (BEIJING) SPORTS CULTURE DEVELOPMENT LTD.) combined the traditional leather technological skills and modern further processing techniques to bring leather football back to major market.
